Involved in several different bands, Kyle Sullivan is currently making a great reputation for himself as a versatile Toronto based drummer. He mixes new and old vocabulary and has been creating music in many different styles native to America. He has recorded on roughly 20 full length albums, most of which have received radio airplay on many radio programs such as CBC radio 2, indie 88, and Sirius XM satellite radio.
Kyle is a graduate of Humber College’s renowned Jazz Music Program. As a student, he studied with Don Vickery, Paul DeLong, Mark Kelso and Steve Mancuso, just to name a few. During his time as a student, he actively participated in Toronto’s music scene playing with critically acclaimed Jerry Leger. He has also worked with such Canadian music alumni as Ron Sexsmith, Murray Foster and Tim Bovaconti and Cowboy Junkies.
Continuing his musical profession, Kyle tours Europe, plays with numerous local bands and artists, teaches drum and piano lessons, and also studies with Master drummer Dave Clarke of the Rheostatics. He is very active on the scene and will do so for many years to come.
